Welcome to the Illinois Real Estate Alumni Network!

 

 

IREN was created decades ago by a group of Illinois alums with the goal of connecting Illini real estate professionals in Chicago who shared the common bond of a fine Champaign education and the desire to enhance the real estate programing at the University.  

 

The group has developed over the years and our ability to give back to the university has expanded.  Financially, we hit a big milestone in 2011 when we established a $50,000 endowment that provides an annual scholarship to a Rho Epsilon member who plans to pursue a career in real estate.  In 2014, we committed another $25,000 to the endowment. In 2018, the scholarship was renamed the Roger Cannaday Scholarship to honor Professor’s commitment to the real estate program and its students for the past 40 years. With this renaming, several former students have stepped forward to head the continued fundraising effort with a goal to raise $200,000 by 2020.

 

We are in the process of re-establishing the organization and hope over the next year to re-introduce happy hours, lunch and learns, site tours and much more. The goal of these events is to provide a great opportunity to meet fellow Illini alumni in real estate and hopefully develop lasting business relationships.
